One-Year Anniversary Sale On Monday, April 6th!

We're pleased to announce that Monday April 6th, 2009 will mark one year since Darkstar first opened it's doors on the day that Jimmy Eat World and Paramore played across the street at the Rabobank. And one FULL year at that. Darkstar Records is open 365 days a year. We keep the doors open every holiday, even Thanksgiving and Christmas (and yes, we're happy to say that we have customers on those days). We're quite proud of our perfect record, especially considering Bakersfield's hang nail mentality.

"It's Columbus Day, Jim. We can't beam down there. Bakersfield is shut down tighter than an Aldebaran Shellmoth!"

To celebrate the day we will be having a 50% sale on all vintage vinyl. Our first (in store, anyway) sale EVER! It would be nice to have more going on that day (live music, food, drinks) but we have to save all of that for our grand opening which will be happening quite soon. Rest assured, we'll keep you updated on that.
